Armchair SEO

I am not a very good webmaster as I’m far from mastering the web… I started off as a regular member on a forum, and fell in love with the community setting. I became a regular post whore and quickly got thousands of posts. In becoming that post whore I learned the ins and outs of the community I was a part of and created thread indexes, reported posts that broke the rules, and kept an eye out for new members helping them along. These actions caught the eye of the mods and admin of the site and I was promoted to a moderator myself. Once I became a mod, I started to hang out at vBulletin.com and learned all I could about how the community’s backend worked. This eventually lead to me becoming an Admin of the site, though with very limited access.

At some point, that site was lost due to the site owner and a few other issues, so I grabbed all of the people I could and started my own occult forum with 74 members out of several thousand. Being completely clueless as to how to promote the site I joined a webmaster forum and read all I could on the matter. I did my best to apply much of what I learned while still trying to keep the community first.

Now I maintain that community as well as a personal page, a blog for my wife, a grove site for the ADF, and now this site… the pages range from PR1 to PR4 and the promotion of them range from none at all to only slight…but still, I have read what I could, and applied much of it on one level or another. While I should be spending more time pitching those, I would really rather speculate as to what I could be doing…and that is what this page is about.
